Legend says, Microsoft is more a marketing company than an IT company. Hence its mediocre documentation about its products. Yet, if you need to Google any of Microsoft, Microsoft articles appears first on the list. Money talks!
A practice I have been doing for some time now, when Googling any of Microsoft articles is to tell Google to dismiss results for Microsoft (by using the -microsoft switch)
Let us consider we need to search for articles related to Visual Studio, a Microsoft product. Google visual studioand you get a full page of useless Microsoft articles.
To get the good articles, let us ask Google to omit results from Microsoft:
visual studio -microsoft -msdn
Ah! and now the interesting stuff shows up on page 1.
